Youth-at-risk, new immigrants, those returning to religion, pre-army youth as well as those leaving the army and looking for direction.

Who is Emmanuel Moreno?
Lt. Colonel Emmanuel Yehuda Moreno fell in combat at the end of the Second Lebanon War. A senior figure in Israel’s elite Sayaret Matkal, he is consider to be one of Israel’s top ranked soldiers, whose image to this day is unusually prohibited from being published. A father of three young children, he held in exceptional harmony a life of action and deeds, yet one of deep modesty and spirituality.
How can I found out more about Emmanuel’s life story?
The foundation’s website www.emmanuelmoreno.org has published a booklet on Emmanuel’s life story compiled by friends and family, along with video clips and media gallery.
Who runs the foundation?
The foundation is a volunteer based organization with little to no overhead. The foundation’s board is chaired by Alan Moreno, father of Emmanuel, and audited by the accounting offices of Eran Golani, CPA.

About the campaign
Why are you running this campaign?
The foundation has run in stealth mode for a number of years, maintaining a low visibility / high impact profile. In order to sustainably grow its programs, after eight years in operation, the board decided to launch its first public fundraiser campaign.
What percentage of funds will go towards program goals?
As the foundation is managed by volunteers, 100% of the proceeds raised from the campaign will go directly towards the programs run by the foundation, including the after school Project Emmanuel and youth groups run by Acharai! Emmanuel.
Who funds the organization?
Private individuals, municipal funds and the Rashi Foundation are amongst the sources of funds that support the organization’s mission.

Is my donation tax deductible?
The Emmanuel Moreno Foundation is an Article 46 tax exempt organization in Israel, with approval from the Israeli legislature.
